Thank you very much for posting this. As an aspiring level designer (I'm learning Unreal Ed at the moment) it's great to see a real level design test. This information is really useful and helpful. Thanks again!

@Kristoffer Helander
Hmm... Gamasutra you say? Actually, that's an interesting idea. Maybe I should add this post to my blog over there too. Thanks!

And no, it's not SketchUp, they're just some screens from the BSP (building blocks) in Valve's Hammer Editor that I traced real quick in Photoshop.

Hey, very cool post, interesting and thoughtful :) Should be posted over at Gamasutra or similar site :) Level design is very interesting, even though I'm slightly more interested in the artistic side off it. Is that SketchUp-art you got there? :)

@James Daniello
Thank you.

I can understand developers not wanting to show their tricks, but when it comes to getting popular with an employer I think it's a must.

Very intricate. In this situation I would say that doing the extra work and going out of your way really paid off. I would bet that doing so much work and making everything transparent really went a long way in helping you secure the job. Nice share!
