Swedish Innovation!
I'm Swedish and I'm proud of that. Not in some crazy patriotic way, but in a mellow "damn, we're good" kind of way. Sometime something special occurs and a new can of proudness arrives. Now's such a time, even if the can might be small.
"Swedish innovation for improved reading and writing."
As a designer, I use both computers and papers to design. Sometimes the powerhouse which is Word is what I need, perhaps Photoshop or even Alias SketchBook, but the thing you really can't be without is pen and paper.
I don't know how many notebooks and sketchbooks I have filled with ideas, concepts, notes, arrows, lines, scribbles and whatnot!
Tools like these need to have a certain feel to them, something that makes it feel comfortable for you to work with. I personally prefer blank papers and gel- or ink pens instead of pencils and papers with lines. I usually don't like the lines because the mess upp my drawings with all the arrows and little pieces of text connected. Although, my writing might not be pretty when going freestyle.
But see, this weekend I was at a bookstore and found this new Swedish innovation; the Write Lines!
White lines to help me write and measure, slightly darker paper than white goes easy on the eyes and I no longer have to choose between blank or paper with lines!
