http://www.wolfire.com/humble (9/5/2010)

It's a bundle of cross-platform indie-games that you get for... Whatever you feel is reasonable. You pay what you want. It's just that easy. I didn't pay $80, but I paid something. You get to chose where the money goes, and I chose that everything should go to the developers.

It's a very interesting "business model".

Sorry, no time to write anything more. Just took a few bookshelfs apart and now it's time to pack a few boxes. I hate this part...

Hello people!

Things been hectic for a while now and I'm going abroad for a short while in a few hours, so I'll make this super quick.

First of all, sorry for several downtimes that has lasted a couple of hours each. I've talked to my host and they're trouble shooting the machines to see what's causing it. Hopefully they're done and it won't happen again.

Secondly, Bob Came in Pieces, the well reviewed game in which I'm credited is now not only available on the developer Ludosity's site and Steam, but also on Gamersgate for both PC and Mac! If you haven't already; get it!

http://www.gamersgate.com/all?q=bob+came+in+pieces (31/3/2010)

Thirdly, my spare time project Iskall has grown since it started and is now made by a team of 13 people, so my work as a project manager (in addition to the game/level design) is increasing. It's both good and bad. It's not as fun as designing, but I still enjoy it and it's a great opportunity for me to increase my management and administration skills.

That's it for now. I gotta get moving!

Off I go then, Tally-Ho!

Today is a good day for Ludosity Interactive (http://ludosity.com/, 10/12/2009). Ludosity is a game company founded by a bunch of my friends back from the University and they've made some small games. Both "gaming games" and "serious games".

For a long time I've been visiting them about once every two weeks to check up on them and see how far along their awesome game "Bob Came In Pieces" was. It's been a joy to see it develop and it's been great fun to be able to give some feedback along the way.

http://ludosity.com/games/bob/

They've just released a trailer and the response has been great and they're popping up all over the Internet! Not bad for a little indie game.

(All URL worked 10/12/2009)

It's a physics based puzzle game and I really enjoy playing it! You should definately have a go at it when you get the chance.

And btw, it's made using Unity3D which I've been writing about every now and then.

So here's a shout out for my friends over at Ludosity Interactive! Fun game and good luck!

Indie Games are usually released for free. It's not about making money but about the love for creating games, or maybe more often it wouldn't sell anyway and once an indie developer is approached by a publisher; heck yes, they'll sell it!

Anyway, I think it would be nice for people to be able to subscribe to Indie Game releases. Imagine a client similar to Steam, adding perhaps one game per week chosen by a Indie gaming community. Maybe by voting or perhaps by a knowledgable jury?

Personally I don't play as much Indie Games as I want to, and a lot of what I play honestly isn't all that good but if there was a service for me to easily get my hands on free quality Indie Games, I would definately sign up! It would be a good opportunity for more people to experience this kind of games; people that don't normally visit Indie Communities to download games. I might be wrong here but I don't think it's easy for just anyone to get "into" the Indie scene.

There aren't all that many distribution channels for indies to "normal people", except for the biggest and most succesful games.
http://store.steampowered.com/genre/Indie/ (19/7/2009)

This is just me thinking out lout again. Over and out.
